As part of the ‘Get Creative at Home’ festival Create Together has partnered up with North Somerset Council to share a different craft activity for you to create with items found at home, in your garden or on your daily walk.
This week I have made a funky elephant using a milk carton.
- Empty milk carton
- buttons, sequins, fabric or any other items you can find at home
Draw a line around the whole carton slightly higher than the bottom of the handle. Draw an arch on each side of the carton – this will form the legs.
Cut the lines that you have drawn to create the elephant shape and get rid of the bottom half.
Your elephant is ready to decorate. I used a base of acrylic paint then decorated with buttons and sequins. For the ears, cut two semi circles from fabric and stick either side of the carton.
